Aniek, our designer founder, worked for ten years at various web agencies and saw how beautiful designs were lost because of cheap and trite photos. Margot, our photographer and founder, spent twelve years with her photo lens and discovered how to make one accurate image out of a universe of individual details that catch your eye.
When they built a website together in 2019, they were flabbergasted when they saw what happens when you mix design and photography from the first sketch. So Aniek and Margot started Studio Flabbergasted.
We didn't choose a great time to start Studio Flabbergasted: just before the coronavirus pandemic. But as go-getters, we wrestled our way through this, and Studio Flabbergasted began to flourish. We made a name for ourselves and received more and more fun assignments!
2021 was a year of significant growth for Studio Flabbergasted. We went from 2 to 6 professionals, worked on a record number of cool projects and achieved all our business goals!
Our first office extension: a colorful photo studio where we could do all the shoots for our customers. But why keep it to ourselves? We named the studio WTFactory, filled it with cool attributes and props, and opened it up for other photographers to rent.

The old office was bursting at the seams, so it was time for the next step: a larger building! We found a beautiful spot on the Aelbrechtskade. After days of work and sweat, our dream office was finally ready. And wow, we couldn't ask for a better office!
Studio Flabbergasted participated in Agency at Night, a unique event where 46 agencies from Rotterdam came together for an unforgettable evening. Our doors were wide open for you! It was a festive evening full of creativity and fun. See you next year?
